Date:
1. Product & Scope Determination
| No. | Self-check item | Yes/No/Unsure | Evidence / notes |
| 1 | HS codes of our EU-bound products have been confirmed and checked against EUDR Annex I for scope | | |
| 2 | The "relevant commodity" category of in-scope products has been determined (wood / rubber / soy / palm oil etc.) | | |
| 3 | Our role in the supply chain has been determined (which upstream customer first places the product on the EU market; whether we qualify as a downstream operator) | | |
2. Supply Chain Traceability
| 4 | We can list the raw-material origin of every EU-bound batch (supplier list + country of origin) | | |
| 5 | We can obtain plot-level geolocation of raw-material sources (WGS-84; polygons for plots >4 ha) | | |
| 6 | Upstream suppliers are willing to sign written commitments (deforestation-free + legal origin) and provide coordinate data | | |
| 7 | Coordinate systems of sourced materials have been confirmed and converted to WGS-84 where necessary (local map-app coordinates corrected) | | |
3. Legality & Deforestation-Free Evidence
| 8 | Legality evidence is available for every batch (harvesting permits / tenure certificates, customs, land use, labour, etc.) | | |
| 9 | We can prove source plots were not deforested or degraded after 31 December 2020 (satellite imagery comparison / historical land-use evidence) | | |
4. System & Documentation
| 10 | An EUDR due diligence procedure (information collection / risk assessment / risk mitigation / DDS) exists or is planned | | |
| 11 | Compliance records are retained for 5 years (DDS numbers, coordinate tables, invoices and contracts, satellite screenshots, etc.) | | |
| 12 | Management has appointed an EUDR owner and scheduled internal training | | |
How to fill this in: count "unsure" as "no". Items 5, 6 and 9 are the real weaknesses of most Chinese factories โ they cannot be solved inside the factory; they require upstream supplier cooperation or external consultants.
Scoring guide: 10-12 "yes": good readiness โ focus on DDS dry runs; 6-9 "yes": a 3-6 month remediation window is needed, start as soon as possible; 0-5 "yes": large gaps โ if EU customers are already asking, seek professional help immediately.
